journal is “Role Playing in Storytelling Classes and Its Impact on Iranian
Young EFL Learners’ Narrative Writing” written by Mojgan Rashtchi and Mosayeb
Moradzadeh at TEFL Department, Faculty of Foreign Languages, Islamic Azad
University, North Tehran Branch.
Introduction
In
accordance with what have been published by the journal above, They have conducted
research with EFL students in Iran which is still very difficult to improve his
writing skills, because by just writing they will not know what kind of
assistance they get. Therefore, he proved that the need to play the role of the
technique will be able to improve writing skills in this EFL class. They divided
2 groups in the class, the first group he was tasked with reading the story
loud and loud. Then, for the second group, he was assigned to use role playing
techniques in class. After he decides, he has got results by using playing
techniques in the classroom will be able to improve their abilities, because by
playing a role, they can collect or use words that they easily understand
according to what they do in the class. So to improve the ability of EFL
students in writing, using playing roles will make them easy to write. In
accordance with the results of the study, he advised a teacher to teach writing
narratives in the EFL class.
